The Lake

Gilmore Lake is located in the northern portion of Washburn County, Wisconsin. It is approximately 371 acres in size and has a maximum depth of 16 feet. The water clarity is excellent and because it is spring fed, it doesn’t suffer from low lake levels during times of drought as many of the other area lakes do. The lake is managed for the fishing of northern pike, largemouth bass, and walleye. It is considered an excellent recreational lake for swimming, skiing, and other water sports.

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources provides information on the state’s lakes. To read Gilmore Lake’s page, click here.
