Wisconsin Act 31 of 2009

Wisconsin Act 31 of 2009 restricts the operation of motorboats to slow-no-wake speeds within 100 feet of the shoreline. The law took effect on February 1, 2010. It is intended to reduce erosion of shorelines caused by wakes of motorboats and provide a legal safety zone people recreating along the shoreline.
